Well Done to all who represented Wexford in the Scór na nÓg Leinster Semi final in Dublin last weekend. Naomh Éanna took part in the Figure Dancing competition and were represented by Caoimhe Kenny, Chloe O’Brien, Amy Doran, Ciara Black, Lauren Edwards, Gillian Hayes, Lauren Byrne, Eve Dunne. Blackwater’s Grace Murphy competed in the Solo-singing, with a lovely rendition of The Croppy Boy. Niamh Bridges of St. Martin’s represented the County in the recitation competition with “Going Tomorrow”. Ferns participated in the Ballad Group competition with Lisa Doran, Katie O’Toole, Linda Murphy, Oran Fitzpatrick, William Dunne representing their club. It was Réalt na Mara and Bannow Ballymitty who were lucky to qualify for the Leinster Final on the day. Réalt na Mara’s musicians, Cathal Lee, Cian Kenny, Áine Neary, Kate O’Loughlin, Seán Walsh entertained the crowd with a lovely performance. Meanwhile Bannow-Ballymitty’s Léiriú group performed an act entitled “Cullenstown on 15th August”. Those performing were Cathal Cummins, Daniel Wickham, Kate Cullen, Johanna Walsh, Niamh Colfer, Leona O’Grady, Kayleigh & Caoimhe Moran. Best of Luck to both clubs in the Leinster Final on 10th January.
