Junior Footballers into Leinster Final

The Wexford Junior football team, captained by Anthony Masterson, traveled to Longford on Wednesday evening, June 10th, for the Leinster semi final against the home team.
Senior panelist Kevin Rowe was the star of the night as he notched three second half goals in a 3-11 to 0-12 victory for Wexford. Wexford led by 0-7 to 0-6 at half time thanks mainly to 5 points from wing forward Niall Harney, three of those coming from frees.
The team is under the same management team as the seniors and many of the senior panel members, who are still eligible for the junior grade, took part in the game. Manager David Power has used the junior grade to bring on many of the newer squad members and will be choosing his panel for Sundays trip to face Westmeath in Mullingar after seeing many fine performances from these players.
The senior team will be announced on Friday night after training around 10pm.
The junior team will now face Meath in the Leinster final on Thursday June 25th at 7.30pm in Innovate Wexford Park.
