World handball update

It is turning out to be a fantastic World Handball championships for the handballers of county Wexford as many players advanced to the semi finals of competition yesterday.
Daniel Kavanagh is into the semi final of the boys 17 and under singles after a 21-5, 21-11 win over Gavin Coyle from Monaghan, while he also advanced to the semi finals of the 17 and under doubles as he and Sean Kerr won through last night.
Josh Kavanagh beat Billy Drennan from Kilkenny in the quarter final of the 13 and under singles and will meet the man who defeated Mark Doyle in the semi finals , Tyrone’s Eoghan McGinnity.
Noel Holohan is through to two World semi finals tomorrow as he beat Tomas Lennon from Laois 21-9, 21-10 in the Mens C singles, while Noel and Daniel Breen from Kilkenny are through to the Mens C doubles semi final after beating John Walsh and Danny O’Riordan from Kerry 21-2, 21-8. Sean Nolan and his partner Conor O’Connor lost out in the quarter finals 11-9 in the tie breaker and their victors from Japan will face Noel and Daniel today in Calgary.
Ned Buggy, Gavin Buggy, and Robert Doyle are also in semi final action tomorrow in what has been a fantastic tournament to date.
