Wexford GAA Launch Functional Movement & Resistance Program


Wexford Coaching and Games will be hosting a parents meeting next week for parents of players who were involved in the Model Academy teams at U14/U15. This will also be open to all clubs who wish to send a coach/representative to the event.

Meeting 1 : Riverside Hotel (7.30pm) Tuesday 13th October

Meeting 2 : Ferrycarraig Hotel (7.30pm) Wednesday 14th October

The purpose of the night is to launch the Functional Movement program. Guests on the evening will include David Power (Wexford Senior Football Manager) and Liam Dunne (Wexford Senior Hurling Manager) as well as representivies from Wexford County Board.

The aim is to educate players & mentors on appropriate movements and corrective exercises to limit the risk of injury and improve overall mobility and strength. Over 300 players are due to begin screening on the 27th of October. Details of all the dates and academy squad program will appear live on Wexford GAA website after the two meetings.
