St Marys Maudlintown official opening

Sunday twenty third of January twenty sixteen will go down as a very historic day for the Saint Mary’s Maudlintown Gaelic Football Club as the club opened their brand new playing grounds in Trespan Rocks in the southend of Wexford town.
A two part project of a 3g sandbased pitch and one story clubhouse equipped with wheelchair lift, meeting room, office, four dressing rooms, indoor AstroTurf arena and a cardiovascular and muscular gym was completed over five years with the thankful help of Crawford Turf Group, J and J Sinnott Construction and may others.
On hand on the day to open the facilities were Minister of Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin TD, Mayor of Wexford Ger Carthy and Leinster GAA Chairman John Horan. The three gentlemen along with acting Mary’s chairman Barry Kinsella spoke of the importance of St Mary’s moving back into the Maudlintown area after many years of playing outside the town in Pairc Carman GAA grounds.
The club would like to thank all who volunteered their services on the day in order to make for a very enjoyable occasion. Also to the many people of the public, well wishers and supporters who attended.
