We are currently getting everything in place for the pilot of our indoor blitz concept, to start on the weekend of March 4th & 5th, which will run for four weekends, and will be split evenly between hurling and football (2 weekends of hurling and 2 weekends of football).
The idea is to get u9 teams from each club involved in additional games opportunities with a twist (indoors). We want to make the most of the fantastic facilities within our county and also make sure that every club is getting the opportunity to use them.
By giving kids games opportunities in a different environment will allow them to develop a range of skills otherwise not possible.
We have venues organised and now want to get teams entered to create fixtures.
Teams will consist of a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 12 players and must be up to the age of u9
Each team will get two 20 minute games each week, both games will be completed within one hour after the arrival.
The closing date for entries is next Tuesday 28th of February at 5pm. (Entry via club secretary/club coaching officer)
Groups and fixtures will be published next Thursday March 2nd.
