Wexford face Kilkenny in this year’s Walsh Cup Final after today’s convincing 1-20 to 16 point win over Dublin in Parnell Park Despite Dublin’s early lead and finishing the first half 11 points to 8 up, Wexford took full control of the 2nd half and after Dublin’s Full Forward Paul Winters red card Wexford went on to score 1-10 without reply from the home side which included a well manufactured goal which started from the corner back Damien Reck’s run and on to the hands of Corner Forward Cathal Dunbar who guided the ball in the top corner of the net. Dublin managed to put over a total 4 points in the 2nd half but Wexford ended the last 15 minutes with points from Morris, Dunne and Jack Guiney’s 3 late on target scores to hand Wexford a 7 point win and a Walsh Cup Final showdown with Kilkenny next Sunday 21st in Nowlan Park
