Both Wexford teams did extremely well with the B team putting in some impressive performances to reach the Division 1 shield final loosing out to a very strong Kildare team 2-7 to 0-6. The A team had a slow start to the tournament but stormed into the Knock out stages beating Kilkenny 1-10 to 1-7 in the semi-final and playing out an extra time thriller with Tipperary to win the Division 1 final 2-12 to 0-17, the strength of character was great for Wexford to come from behind twice to win in a very dramatic and entertaining game.
