One of the oldest and prestigious competitions in Wexford will start on the weekend of the 13th Jan 2018.
This will be the 52nd year of this competition set up by the late Seamus Keevans in 1967and there are 18 participants this year
RULES
All participants are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games, why the three different competitions
· Games are 13 a side – if clubs agree games can be 15 a side.
· Unlimited substitutions.
· Offensive Mark -clean catching of the ball on or inside the 20m line from a kick delivered on or beyond the 45m line without it touching the ground, player has up to 15 seconds to take this
· All games (final included) played to a finish, if a draw – goes to extra time ( 10 mins each way) , if a draw after extra time then it goes to a 21mtr free shootout- all frees taken off the ground and best of 5. If level after 5 attempts each then it goes to sudden death.
· Games are €40 and the referee is paid by both teams – €20 each per club per game, except finals which will be paid by the committee.
· In the event of an amalgamated club and a single club jersey clash the amalgamation must change.
· All finals in Patrick Park if available
· Committee’s decision is final as regards clubs not fulfilling fixtures
