Clubs will be advised of the sequence and dates of fixtures, including an updated Master Fixtures plan, before Friday July 3rd.
Given the current limits on mass gatherings as per government regulations, we are in the process of seeking further clarification in relation to these limits and what are the practical implications for our fixtures. Further clarification on attendance limits will impact on our fixtures schedule which we hope to finalise before Friday July 3rd. Also, given the government’s roadmap has been brought forward significantly, it is now envisaged that we will start our championships earlier than previously indicated, but not before Friday July 17th. Again dates of fixtures will be advised to clubs ASAP.
In the Junior and Junior ‘A’ competitions all teams will have one home game and one away game in the group stages.
Given the exceptional circumstances and time frame to play fixtures it will not possible for requests to be considered by CCCC from clubs in relation to dates, venues times etc for fixtures. The CCCC would appreciate club’s co-operation in this regard.
Following advice from Croke Park, suspensions will carry over from the 2019 championships. A list of players who stand suspended will be circulated in advance of fixtures commencing.
Further updates in relation to competitions, regarding players who are in their first year playing at adult (18 year old) exception for championship grading in group stages) will be circulated prior to Friday July 3rd. We are seeking advice from Croke Park in relation to amending the deviation from general rule received earlier this year in light of the change of format of competitions.
We will endeavour to provide clubs with further updates as outlined above when possible. We appreciate your patience in this regard.
