In launching the Wexford GAA 2021 Club Card, Gavin O’Donovan, CEO/Operations Manager, commented:
I’m looking forward to our football championship. There are some mouth-watering clashes in the group stages, and I have no doubt that the relegation of two teams from each grade will bring added pressure and excitement. The launch of the Football Club Card for the remainder of the championship is a new initiative for us – it is fantastic value at €80.00 for football supporters who may not have purchased a Club Card at the start of the year given the uncertainty that COVID brought.
For the group stages, ticket prices are as follows:
- Senior / Intermediate €8.00 single match
- Senior / Intermediate €12.50 double header
- Intermediate A / Junior €5.00 single match
- Intermediate A / Junior €8.00 double header
- Senior & Intermediate A / Junior €10.00 double header
- Intermediate & Intermediate A / Junior €10.00 double header
- Students should purchase a Student Ticket and present student ID upon entry to the grounds
OAPs: free admission
- OAPs do not need to purchase a ticket but must present their GAA OAP ID upon entry to the grounds
U16s: free admission
- Must be accompanied by an adult
Entry to games will remain by ticket only. Cash will not be accepted at our gates. We ask that you continue to leave sufficient time to gain access to the grounds. We also ask that you wear a face covering coming through our stiles to respect our volunteers working on the gates. Social distancing should also be maintained, both while queueing to come through stiles and at the game. The use of face masks in the grounds is still recommended.
Wexford GAA TV
Interest in Wexford GAA TV has continued to be strong even with the return of crowds to our matches. We plan to stream a selection of the Dominic Smith SFC each weekend on Wexford GAA TV in association with Stafford’s Bakeries and Joanne’s Cafes.
Chadwicks Wexford Park
This week, we are performing some much needed maintenance on the pitch in Chadwicks Wexford Park to ensure that we have the best possible playing surface come 14 November for our football finals. As a result, there are no fixtures scheduled for Chadwicks Wexford Park in the first round of matches. There will be matches played in Chadwicks Wexford Park in the second and subsequent rounds of the football championship. We are also conscious that key pitches in the county, in particular Bellefield and O’Kennedy Park, have had very heavy usage due to the COVID restrictions on capacity. We are also trying to reduce pressure on these pitches over the coming weeks with focus on ensuring our matches at the business end of the championship are played on the best surfaces possible.
Best of luck to all the teams competing over the coming weeks.
